# Multichain Settlement Network

**A TEKTIAS-Specific Approach for Maximum Efficiency**

TEKTIAS operates across multiple high-performance blockchains, including **BNB Smart Chain**, **zkSync**, **Monad**, and **Base**. This multichain architecture ensures that TEKTIAS can provide fast, low-cost, and scalable trade settlement without encountering congestion or volatile gas prices.

The TEKTIAS design uses an off-chain trading engine for trade matching and execution, delivering a real-time trading experience by insulating traders from the high-latency and inconsistent execution times of on-chain transactions.

While trade execution is instantaneous, trade settlement must still occur on-chain. In shared blockspace environments, like public layer 1 and layer 2 networks, this can lead to settlement backlogs, long withdrawal times, and high settlement costs.

TEKTIAS fixes this by leveraging its multichain approach.

By operating across **BNB Smart Chain**, **zkSync**, **Monad**, and **Base**, TEKTIAS ensures:

* **No Competition for Settlement:** By distributing settlements across multiple blockchains, TEKTIAS avoids congestion and maintains fast processing times.
* **Low Settlement Costs:** Using layer 2 solutions and efficient blockchains provides sub-penny settlement costs, reducing fees for users.
* **Gas-Free Trading Experience:** Off-chain order matching combined with efficient on-chain settlement means users can trade without worrying about high gas fees.

This multichain infrastructure empowers TEKTIAS to deliver a decentralized, high-speed, and cost-efficient trading experience across some of the most advanced blockchains in the DeFi space.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://tektias.gitbook.io/tektias/getting-started/design-components/multichain-settlement-network.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
